Available in both UHF (450-520 MHz) and VHF (134-174Mhz), the CM60 (25 Watt) is primarily suited for Phase 1 P25 applications however can also be utilised as a dedicated commercial analogue mobile.
Designed, engineered and manufactured in Australia, the CM60 (25 Watt) is available in several customisable configurations. It can be supplied with a Heavy Duty IP67 Dust & Waterproof Fist Microphone, Remote Head Kit, or an OLED Controller Microphone (available in black or green).
UHF (Ultra-High Frequency) and VHF (Very-High Frequency) radios are essential communication tools in many industries, particularly in mining and traffic control. UHF radios operate in the frequency range between 300 MHz and 3 GHz and are known for their high-quality, long-range communication capabilities.
Mining is a dangerous industry, and safety is of paramount importance. Effective communication between miners is essential to ensure everyone knows potential hazards and that safety protocols are followed. UHF radios are particularly well-suited to this environment because of their long-range capabilities and resistance to interference. In the event of an emergency, UHF radios can be used to quickly and efficiently coordinate rescue efforts and provide critical information to emergency responders.
Traffic control is another industry that relies heavily on UHF radios. Traffic controllers use these radios to communicate with each other and with other stakeholders, such as emergency services and road crews. UHF radios are handy because they allow traffic controllers to communicate over long distances, even in areas with poor cellular coverage. This is particularly important in remote or rural areas with limited access to other communication technologies.
In both mining and traffic control, it is essential to have reliable communication channels. A private channel on a UHF radio can provide this level of reliability, as it allows for secure and uninterrupted communication between users. Private channels are advantageous when sensitive information is shared or transmission must be kept confidential. For example, in mining, a private channel can be used to discuss production figures or other commercially sensitive information without the risk of this information being intercepted by a third party. Similarly, in traffic control, a private channel can coordinate the response to a significant incident without the risk of sensitive information being leaked to the media or other stakeholders.
UHF radios are essential in many industries, including mining and traffic control. Their long-range communication capabilities and resistance to interference make them well-suited to these environments. A private channel on a UHF radio can provide a secure and reliable communication channel, particularly useful when sensitive information is being shared or communication needs to be kept confidential. Whether you are working in mining or traffic control, a UHF radio with a private channel is essential to ensure effective communication and maintain safety and security in the workplace.
GME (Global Marine Electronics) is a leading manufacturer of UHF radios known for their superior performance and reliability. One of the critical reasons why GME radios are considered superior for UHF communication is their advanced signal processing technology. This technology allows GME radios to filter out unwanted signals and noise, resulting in clearer and more reliable transmission. Additionally, GME radios are designed to be rugged and durable, making them well-suited for use in harsh and demanding environments such as mining, construction, and outdoor activities. GME radios are popular for UHF communication due to their superior performance, reliability, and durability.
