Wide Dynamic Range (WDR)
Whether you’re driving under bright sunlight, heading out of a tunnel or getting under the shadow of a tall building, among others, its WDR feature helps get you through a sudden change in frontal light exposure levels that yield excessively bright or dark recordings. WDR does this by getting rid of overly bright spots and correcting colour balance to produce nothing but clear images.
Nighttime Picture Quality Correction
Images from videos recorded at nighttime on poorly-lit avenues, streets or roads generally don’t look that lucid. But with this, it’s an entirely different story. It’s armed with enhancement sensors that make brightness, colour and noise cancellation controls possible each time; hence, vivid video recordings of your evening drive.
Automatic Exposure
A sudden rise of light exposure brought about by intense sunlight or headlight beams from oncoming vehicles, or poor lighting in a tunnel may give any ordinary dash cam trouble capturing clear images but not THINKWARE dash cams. They come with an automatic light exposure function that controls light exposure levels for crisp footage at all times.

PARKING SURVEILLANCE
MODE
With hardwiring installation, enjoy parking protection against potential mishaps and hit-and-runs by capturing footage when an impact or motion is detected (hardwiring cable or OBD-II cable required).
You can tailor the U3000’s Parking Surveillance mode to the coverage that best fits your surveillance needs by choosing from Impact/Motion Detection, Time Lapse, or Energy Saving parking modes.
New RADAR Parking Mode with Built-In RADAR
Radar Parking mode is a low-powered recording mode that utilizes the U3000’s built-in radar to monitor motion with minimal power consumption (requires hardwiring or OBD-II cable). This allows for longer buffered parking surveillance so you also have footage of events leading to an incident. When a motion or impact is detected, the U3000 will save a 20-sec video clip (10s before and 10s after the incident has been detected).
Note:
– Parking Surveillance mode requires Hardwiring Cable (professional installation recommended) or OBD-II Power Cable.
– The distance and degree of detection can be different depending on the environment and other factors.
– Not every object is guaranteed to be detected.
– Thinkware CONNECTED features are unavailable in Radar Parking Mode as all network data functions are turned off to reduce power consumption.
Impact and Motion Detection
With Impact and Motion Detection turned on, any potential vandalism attempts and hit-and-run drivers while the car is parked will be caught in the act. In Parking mode, Impact detection captures any impact to the vehicle while Motion Detection captures any movement around the vehicle.
Smart Parking Mode
This safety feature prevents heat-related damage by automatically switching the U3000 to a low-power mode if the temperature inside the vehicle gets too high during Parking mode.
In this state, the dash cam records incidents triggered by impacts only until its operating temperature is safe again to resume Motion Detection or Timelapse Parking mode.
THINKWARE
CONNECTED
With the U3000 connected to the internet, the dedicated Thinkware CONNECTED app gives you access to the following features…
1. Connecting the dash cam to a mobile hotspot device or a Wi-Fi network with Internet access will consume data. Carrier/Service Provider charges may apply.
2. The smartphone used to set up the Internet connection on the dash cam cannot also be used as a mobile hotspot for the dashcam. A different hotspot device/smartphone is required.
3. To connect the dash cam to the internet, use the Thinkware Dash Cam Link App. Once the dash cam is connected to the internet, you can go to the Thinkware CONNECTED app to get access to CONNECTED features.
4. Thinkware CONNECTED service is in beta version right now and some features may be unavailable or limited.
EASY WI-FI DEVICE PAIRING

VIA BUILT-IN WI-FI
2.4GHz has a longer range and can be captured from a farther distance. The longer range network also captures other devices thus preferred in undisrupted environments.
5GHz has a shorter range and can offer better performance with a higher bandwidth. The shorter range network avoids interferences thus preferred for a less congestive experience within shorter distances.
*Download speed and connection experience can differ according to smartphone specifications and telecommunications conditions.
**5GHz band may be more suitable for cities due to possible disruptions in telecommunications environments.
ADVANCED DRIVER ALERT SYSTEM (ADAS)
Rear Collision Warning System [NEW]
Notifies you of any tailgating vehicles within a distance of 5M to 10M for more than 5 seconds. Automotically saves footage into the event folder. Can be activated from 50km/h.
Lane Departure Warning System
Designed for distracted or drowsey drivers, the dash cam will alert you as soon as it senses you’re vehicle leaving the lane while driving at a speed of over 50 kilometres per hour. LDWS alerts you when leaving your lane to help keep any road misfortunes from ruining your trip or compromising you and your passengers’ safety.
High Speed / Urban Forward Collision Warning System
Keep a safe distance from the vehicle you’re following with the help of FCWS / uFCWS. Equipped with a state-of-the-art road safety warning system, it calculates the real-time distance between your vehicle and the automobile in front of you at a speed of over 30 kilometres per hour (km/h) (in expressways) and under 30 km/h in a busy, congested city. This dash cam issues a three-level early warning to the driver, depending on the danger of the possible collision.
Front Vehicle Departure Warning
When stopped at an intersection or a traffic jam, this dash cam’s Front Vehicle Departure Warning (FVDW) intelligent guidance system lets you know when the vehicle in front of you has already started moving, helping you stay attentive each time.
